Selimiye Village
A laid-back fishing village on the Bozburun Peninsula, with a rocky shoreline and clear coves.
Selimiye is a tiny neighbourhood clinging to the rugged Bozburun Peninsula, about an hour's drive from Marmaris. It's the kind of place where life slows to the rhythm of the fishing boats and the cicadas. The village harbour is lined with wooden jetties and a handful of waterfront restaurants serving fresh-caught seafood. Beyond the waterfront, narrow lanes wind past whitewashed houses and small gardens. There are no big hotels here—just a few guesthouses and a quiet, unpolished feel that's rare on this coast.
“For a slow afternoon of swimming off the rocks and a long seafood lunch by the harbour.”
Skip the seafront tables and eat where the village men do: the lokanta tucked behind the mosque.
Narrow cobbled lanes and some steep gradients; wheelchair access is limited to the immediate harbour area.
