Entry note: Town and waterfront free; gulet charters priced separately.

Göcek clusters around six marinas and a waterfront of smart restaurants, but strict building rules kept the hills forested and the bays empty of high-rises. It is the classic start for a gulet blue cruise toward the Twelve Islands, Dalyan, or Fethiye. Even without chartering, an evening harbour walk and dinner on the quay capture the town's polished, low-key mood.

To see where Turkey's sailing holidays begin and walk a marina town that still feels leafy.

Local tip

Dinner on the quay is the main event — day-trippers from Dalaman airport rarely stay past sunset, and the harbour quiets beautifully.

Accessibility

Flat waterfront promenade; marinas accessed by paved paths.
