Before the yachts and paragliders, Fethiye was Makri, and Paspatur still carries that older rhythm. Narrow lanes under vine trellises link carpet shops, lokantas, and tea gardens a block back from the harbour. The fish market sits at one end, the park and tombs at the other. It is the place to eat before a gulet trip or wander after Çalış beach.

For the most atmospheric hour in Fethiye town between harbour and fish market.

Local tip

Evening is best — daytime tour buses thin out and the vine shade cools the alleys.

Accessibility

Cobbled lanes; mostly flat within the old-town core.
