Belcekız Beach
A blue lagoon beach where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean, backed by pine-clad mountains and dotted with landing paragliders.
Belcekız Beach is the main sandy stretch of Ölüdeniz, a coastal town 14 km south of Fethiye. The beach forms part of a blue-flag national park, with shallow, crystal-clear water that defines the famous lagoon. Backed by pine forests and towering Mount Babadağ, it's a launch point for tandem paragliders, who swoop down to land on the promenade. The beach can get crowded in high season, but the contrasts of turquoise, green, and mountain grey make it a classic Turkish Riviera spot.

Come before 9am or walk all the way to the far right end; the main section fills with tour groups by mid-morning.
Soft sand makes wheelchair access difficult; a wooden boardwalk runs along the promenade but does not reach the water.
