Uçansu Waterfall
A tall waterfall tucked into the mountains behind Kemer, where cold water drops into a natural pool. You get there via a bumpy forest track.
Uçansu Waterfall sits in a thickly wooded valley about an hour's drive from Kemer. The road turns to dirt after Göynük Canyon, and in the wet months you'll want a high-clearance vehicle. Once you park, a short but rocky footpath leads to the cascade.
The water spills from a limestone ledge, misting the air and feeding a shallow plunge pool. Locals come here to escape the coastal humidity; the pool is cold enough to jolt your senses even in August. There are no cafés or facilities, so bring your own water and snacks.
“A proper forest dip in icy mountain water, far from the beach crowds.”
Go in the morning before the jeep tours arrive at 10:30, otherwise the pool gets churned up.
The footpath is narrow, uneven and includes loose rocks; not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
