Tahtalı Cable Car (Olympos Teleferik)

The Tahtalı Cable Car whisks you from the coast to the 2365m summit of Mount Tahtalı in a matter of minutes, serving up a proper sea-and-peak panorama.

The ride itself is a slow, steady glide over pine forests that get scrubbier as you climb. On clear days you can trace the shoreline all the way from Antalya to Kemer and watch paragliders launch from the peak. The 360-degree terrace at the top gives you a rare perspective: Mediterranean blue on one side, a rumpled mountain ridge on the other.

The summit is bare, windy and often a full 10°C cooler than the base station. There's a small café, but people mostly come just to walk the rocky path along the crest and stare. In winter, the peak sometimes gets dusted with snow, which feels surreal after you've just left a beach towel.

For a swift dash from beach-level heat to alpine cool and one of the best coastal views in the region.

Local tip

Take the first cabin up at 9am to have the summit almost to yourself, and bring a proper jacket—it's often 10°C colder up top even in August.

Accessibility

The cable car cabins can accommodate a wheelchair, but the summit area has steep, uneven rocky paths with no ramps.
