The Yassıca Islands are a scattering of low rocky islets north of Göcek, popular on Twelve Islands day cruises. At low tide, sandbars link some of the islands and let you walk knee-deep between them — a novelty for families. Water is shallow and warm, pine scrub tops the rocks, and boats anchor for swimming breaks between longer sails.

For the wade-between-islands experience on a classic Göcek boat day.

Local tip

Check tide times — the sandbar walk is the highlight and only works around low water.
