Entry note: Free open site; rough forest path.

Pedasa was one of the Lelegian settlements that pre-dated Halicarnassus, and its massive stone walls still ring a pine-covered hilltop northeast of Bodrum. Inside are scant remains of houses and cisterns, but the walk through forest and the view back toward the gulf reward the effort. There is no ticket booth and rarely a crowd — bring water and sturdy shoes.

For ancient walls in the pines with Bodrum spread out below and nobody else around.

Local tip

Combine with a Konacık lunch on the way back — the site itself has no shade at the top.
