Kabak Beach
A forested canyon beach south of Ölüdeniz, popular with hikers on the Lycian Way and travellers who want nature over resorts.
Kabak drops steeply from pine-covered cliffs to a narrow strip of pebble beach and turquoise water. Bungalow camps and yoga retreats line the upper slopes, but the valley still feels wild compared with Ölüdeniz. The Lycian Way passes through, so you meet through-hikers in season. Access is by dolmuş from Ölüdeniz or a rough road — no big hotels, by design.
“For a canyon beach on the Lycian Way that still feels like a discovery.”
Hike down from the Lycian Way path if you are already trekking; otherwise take the dolmuş early before the road gets dusty and crowded.
Steep path or winding road to the beach; not suitable for limited mobility.
