Entry note: White lighthouse on the Fenerbahçe peninsula tip — pairs with the park and marina walk

This historic lighthouse still guides ships into the Bosphorus, but for locals it’s more of a destination for a breezy seaside walk. Standing at the far end of the Fenerbahçe peninsula, the tower itself isn’t open to the public, yet the real pleasure is the journey — a flat, tree-lined path from the park leads you right to the sea’s edge.

Once you reach the lighthouse, you can sit on the rocks, watch the ferries and tankers slide by, and feel miles away from Kadıköy’s crowds. Head back slowly, stop for a tea at the marina, or continue along the coast for a longer stroll.

For a wind-in-your-hair walk to a quiet sea-view spot far from the city noise.

Go just after sunrise, when the light is soft and you’ll have the path and lighthouse to yourself.
