About this event

Renzo Piano's luminous building on the Karaköy waterfront is the perfect setting for this sweeping survey of contemporary Turkish and international artists working with light, water, and urban landscape. The exhibition spans three floors and includes large-scale video projections, archival photography, and immersive sound installations. Museum café open until 21:00 on Thursdays. Free admission on the first Sunday of each month.

The first brewery in Turkey was started in 1890 by two brothers from Switzerland, the Bomonti brothers. In 1902 they built a new facility in the southern part of Constantinople (now known in English as Istanbul) which still stands there today. It is situated in the Bomonti district, which of course takes it name from the factory.
