Selge Ancient City
Selge was an important Pisidian city on Mount Taurus. Its ruins include a theater, agora, and stadium in a remote mountain setting.
Selge was a prominent city in ancient Pisidia, later part of Pamphylia, located on the southern slope of Mount Taurus where the Eurymedon River cuts through the mountains. The site features well-preserved remains including a theater, agora, stadium, and city walls. Due to its remote location above Köprülü Canyon, accessible via a rough road, Selge sees far fewer visitors than coastal ruins. The dramatic mountain backdrop and the sense of isolation make it a rewarding destination for those interested in ancient history and landscapes.
