Göynük Canyon
A lush gorge in Kemer where you can hike through a winding river canyon, swim in cold mountain pools, and try via ferrata and zipline routes.
Göynük Canyon cuts through the foothills of the Taurus Mountains just outside Kemer. A marked trail follows the stream past limestone walls, small waterfalls, and deep natural pools that stay cold even in August. The lower section is easy enough for families, while the upper gorge gets progressively narrower and requires some scrambling over wet rocks. Beyond the standard walk, the canyon offers via ferrata and zipline routes that run along the vertical cliffs and over the water. Most visitors spend a half day here, combining a morning hike with a swim and lunch at the riverside café near the entrance. In summer the cold pools are the main draw; in spring the water runs higher and faster, making the lower pools less swimmable but the scenery more dramatic.

Get there when the gate opens—by 10am the canyon walk bottlenecks behind tour groups, and the pools lose their quiet morning feel.
