About this venue
Galataport opened in 2022 as a major urban transformation of the historic Salıpazarı/Tophane waterfront. Previously a working cruise terminal hidden behind walls, the site became a public promenade with over 40 restaurants, cafés, bars, luxury boutiques, and cultural spaces including a branch of Istanbul Modern. The project reconnected the European shore to the Bosphorus waterfront for the first time in decades. On days when cruise ships dock, it buzzes with international visitors; on quieter evenings it's a favourite spot for locals walking the sea edge.
