Yalıkavak
A former fishing village on the Bodrum Peninsula, now a high-end resort area centred around a large marina. Beaches and beach clubs line the coast.
Yalıkavak sits on the northwest coast of the Bodrum Peninsula, about 18 km from Bodrum town. Until the 2000s it was a quiet fishing village, but in recent decades it has developed into one of Turkey's most expensive resort destinations. The driving force is the Yalıkavak Marina, a modern mega-yacht marina with designer boutiques, restaurants, and bars. It's a hub for Turkey's wealthy and international visitors. The coastline has several beach clubs, public beaches, and coves. In summer, the village gets very busy, with traffic and crowds. Outside the marina area, the old village still has a few local tea gardens and a small weekly market. This is not a place for cultural sightseeing; it's about the sea, sun, and a polished holiday atmosphere.

Arrive before 10am on summer weekends; the Bodrum–Yalıkavak road gets heavily congested by midday.
