Ekincik Bay
A calm, pine-backed bay where the sea meets a pebble beach. Boats depart from here for Dalyan’s mud baths and Kaunos ruins.
Ekincik Bay sits between Marmaris and Dalyan, a quiet spot mostly used as a launching point for day trips. The water here is clean and cold, fed by underground springs. You won’t find big resorts, just a small marina, a couple of pensions, and a long curve of beach that stays shallow for a good stretch.
Most people don’t linger—they hop on a boat to cruise through the reeds to Dalyan, see the Lycian rock tombs, or wallow in the mud baths. If you stay, afternoons are lazy, and the pine forest behind the bay smells of resin in the heat. The beach gets direct sun from mid-morning, so bring shade.
“To catch a boat to Dalyan’s mud baths and ancient Kaunos without the Marmaris crowds.”
Arrive before 9:30am if you want a seat on the first boat; later departures get packed and the mud baths become a zoo.
The beach has loose pebbles and no wooden walkways; boat boarding requires stepping from a pier that may be uneven. Not easily accessible for wheelchair users.
