Kılıç Ali Paşa Hamam
A historic Turkish bath designed by the great architect Mimar Sinan in the late 16th century. It's a working hamam where you can still get a traditional scrub and massage.
The Kılıç Ali Paşa Hamam is part of a larger complex built for the Ottoman admiral Kılıç Ali Paşa between 1580 and 1587. The famed architect Mimar Sinan, then in his nineties, designed it, and the bathhouse itself is a beautiful example of classical Ottoman architecture.
After a meticulous restoration that finished in 2012, it reopened as a fully functional hamam. It's not just a museum; you can book a traditional bath experience here. The space feels authentic, with its high dome and classic layout, offering a glimpse into a centuries-old ritual.
