Kalamış Park
A large, leafy park on the Kadıköy shoreline, popular with joggers, families, and anyone wanting to escape the city bustle. It has great views of the Marmara Sea and the Bosphorus.
Kalamış Park is one of the largest green spaces on the Asian side, stretching along the coast from Fenerbahçe towards Moda. It's a proper local park, not a manicured tourist spot, filled with people walking dogs, kids playing football, and groups having picnics on the grass. The long seaside promenade is perfect for a run or a leisurely bike ride, with benches placed to take in the view of passing ships and the Princes' Islands in the distance.
On weekends it gets busy, especially in the late afternoon when everyone comes out to stroll. There are a few simple kiosks for tea and snacks, but it's more about the space and the sea air than any particular facilities. It's a slice of everyday Istanbul life right by the water.
“A long, peaceful seaside stroll away from the main tourist circuits.”
The Fenerbahçe end is quieter and has better sunset views than the Moda end.
Main promenade is flat and paved, but some grassy areas and paths may be uneven.
