Borusan Contemporary
Contemporary art museum in the historic Perili Köşk (Haunted Mansion) with a Bosphorus view. Free admission; weekend reservations often needed.
Borusan Contemporary sits inside the red-brick Perili Köşk in Rumelihisarı, looking straight at the Bosphorus. The collection focuses on contemporary works, especially new media, light, and kinetic art, drawn from Borusan Holding’s corporate collection. Exhibitions rotate regularly on several floors of the mansion.
The museum is compact but well laid out; you can take in the art and still have time to sit on the terrace café. The building itself is part of the draw—it’s a late 19th-century mansion with a dramatic location right on the water. Weekdays are quieter; weekends require an online time-slot reservation even though entry is free.
“To see contemporary art inside a Bosphorus-front historic mansion—a rare combination.”
Even with free admission, you need an online time-slot booking on weekends—just showing up won't work.
The mansion has an elevator, but a few upper exhibition areas may only be reached by steps.
