Gülhane Park
Gülhane Park is Istanbul's oldest public park, sprawling on the grounds of Topkapı Palace. It's a green escape with palace walls, sea views, and plenty of shade.
“A vast, historic green retreat right in the heart of the old city, with sea views and Topkapı's walls.”

Right next to Topkapı Palace, Gülhane Park is a massive, historic green space that feels a world away from the surrounding streets. You can wander under huge old trees, find benches with views over the Bosphorus, and see the impressive southern gate of the palace complex.
It's not a manicured garden but a proper park where locals come to picnic, read, or just take a long stroll. The paths are wide, and the atmosphere is always more relaxed than the crowded tourist sites just outside its gates.
Enter from the lower coastal road (Kennedy Caddesi) to avoid the tourist crowds at the main Topkapı Palace gate entrance.
Main paths are paved and relatively flat, but some secondary gravel paths and grassy areas may be uneven.
