Phaselis Ancient City
Ancient Lycian city with three harbors and ruins scattered among pine trees, located between Kemer and Tekirova.
Phaselis was a Greek and Roman city on the coast of ancient Lycia. Its ruins lie just north of Tekirova, between the Bey Mountains and Olympos National Park, 16 km south of Kemer. The site features three ancient harbors, a main street with agora and baths, and a theater. You can walk through pine-shaded areas and even swim in the calm north harbor. The ruins are accessible by road or daily yacht tours from the coast.
“A rare ancient city where you can swim in a Roman harbor and walk among pine-shaded ruins.”
Enter from the south gate for a quieter walk along the pebble beach, then swim at the north harbor.
Paths are uneven sand and stone; not wheelchair accessible. Some ruins require climbing.
