Düden Waterfalls
Two waterfalls along the Düden River in Antalya: the upper falls in a park and the lower falls dropping into the Mediterranean.
The Düden Waterfalls are two separate cascades of the Düden River in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya. The upper falls are situated within a public park, offering a green setting with picnic areas and walking paths. The lower falls are more dramatic, plunging directly into the Mediterranean Sea from a rocky cliff. The spray from the lower falls often creates rainbows, and the viewpoint is popular for photography. Both sites are easily reachable by public transport or a short drive from Antalya city center. A combined ticket gives access to both, but note they are about 10 km apart.
“Watch the Düden River plunge directly into the Mediterranean at the lower falls.”
The lower falls viewpoint is best in late afternoon when the sun hits the spray and creates rainbows; arrive before 4pm for good light.
Upper falls have paved paths but stairs; lower falls accessible via seaside walk with some uneven surfaces.
