Bozburun
A gulet-building town on a remote peninsula, with clear water, thyme hills, and almost no large-scale tourism.
Bozburun faces the Greek island of Symi across a narrow strait and has built wooden gulets by hand for generations. The town itself is low-key: a harbour lined with cafes, a few pension stays, and walking trails into hills scented with wild thyme. It is the antidote to Marmaris package strips — come for slow meals, boat day trips, and swimming off the quay.
